Schwartz Barrie L. Schwartz, age 71, passed away on March 6, 2013. Preceded in death by his wife Linda and father Harry Schwartz. He is survived by his mother, Beatrice Schwartz; sisters, Robin (Charlie) Bagwell, Eileen (Donald) Thomas and Stacy (David) Lowe; and many nieces and nephews. Barrie discovered amateur radio in 1956 and has been a ham radio operator ever since. He served in the U.S. Army from 1960 - 1963. He took his love of telecommunications and began a 42 year career with the Federal Government at various different posts serving as a telecommunications specialist, ending his career here in Columbus at Defense Logistics Agency in 2005. Graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 10 at FOREST LAWN MEMORIAL GARDENS - TEMPLE ISRAEL SECTION, 5600 E. Broad St. with Rabbi Cary Kozberg officiating.
