Rahr Bradley Edward Rahr, Sr., 53, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 1, 2013 (All Saints Day), surrounded by family, at his home in Lithia, FL. He was born on June 5, 1960 in Newark OH, the son of Thomas and Marna (Habig) Rahr, of Columbus OH. He graduated from Hilliard High School and obtained his under graduate degree from Franklin University and his Masters degree from the University of Phoenix. Brad worked for the State of Ohio in the Labor Relations field for over 20 years, and was employed by Duke Energy, in St Petersburg FL, as a Senior Labor Relations Specialist since 2003. He was a man of God, loved his family and was an active member and mentor of youth at Apostle's Lutheran Church, in Brandon, FL. He loved sports, was a role model and coach of young men and was a life long loyal Ohio State Buckeye fan. Brad was preceded in death by his brother Brian William Rahr. Surviving are his loving wife, Glenna Ann (Lewis) Rahr of Lithia, FL; a daughter, Melissa Kathleen (Rahr) Vega and her husband, Joe of Austin, TX; a son, James David Rahr of New York City, NY; a daughter, Anna Elizabeth Rahr of New York City, NY; a son, Bradley Edward Rahr, Jr. of Lithia, FL; three grandchildren, Colton, Colette, and Chloe Vega of Austin, TX; his parents, Thomas and Marna Rahr of Columbus OH; his sister, Susan (Rahr) Tabbert and her husband, William of Marion OH and their two children, Jordan of Mansfield, OH and Delaney of Marion, OH; Glenna's sister, Martha (Lewis) Innes and her husband, Ian of Dublin, OH and their four children, Colin of Columbus, OH, Adam and his wife, Sara and their son, Carter of Omaha, NE, Rachel of Dublin, OH, Matthew of Columbus OH; and Glenna's sister, Karen (Lewis) Hampshire of Linworth, OH. A memorial service will be conducted at Apostle's Lutheran Church, 200 Kingsway Rd., Brandon, FL 33510, on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 2 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Dublin Youth Athletics, 4285 W Dublin-Granville Rd., Dublin, OH 43017.
