Carol Ann (Davidson) Foster

1958 - 2014 | Obituary Condolences
Carol Ann (Davidson) Foster Obituary
Foster Carol Ann (Davidson) Foster. Time stood motionless as family and caregivers gathered to help Carol Ann (Davidson) Foster valiantly battle melanoma's final stages. Encircled by her loving family, Carol entered into eternal peace and grace, February 1, 2014. Carol, born February 18, 1958, is a life-long resident of Gahanna and long-time member of St. Matthew the Apostle Church where she served the music ministry and fashioned rosaries donated to local ministries. A graduate of Gahanna Lincoln High School, she attended Columbus State University and was employed by Mount Carmel Health System for 34 years. Her creative spirit led to a life-long passion of gardening, crafts, and needlepoint. Friends and family sought her expert advice from perennial flowers to tying the perfect bow to making the trendiest Buckeye Football jewelry. Carol loved to flash her artistic "bling" on "game day" as she chimed, "O-H!" Carol is survived by her husband of 33 years, David E. Foster; three children, Alaina Foster of Gahanna, Aimee (Joseph) Michael of Westerville, Amanda Foster of Gahanna; and granddaughter, Lillian; her parents, Theodore and Rosemarie Davidson of Gahanna; four sisters, Dale Anne (Robert) Burnkrant of New Albany, Jeanne (Brian) Huffman of Sidney, Helen (Brian) Jones of Carroll, and Brenda (Troy) Hampton of Carroll; along with many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12Noon at St. Matthew the Apostle Church Wednesday, February 5. Fr. Ryan Schmit, Celebrant. Visitation begins at 10:30 a.m. on the same day at the church. Interment, Mifflin Cemetery. The family extends sincere gratitude to Mount Carmel associates and Mount Carmel Hospice for helping to create comfort during Carol's final days. Memorials may be made to Caroling all the Way Melanoma Memorial c/o Canal Banking Center, 6360 Prentiss School Dr., Canal Winchester, OH 43110 or 614-834-5626.
