Deann Marie Baltzer Obituary
Baltzer Deann Marie Baltzer, age 74, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Born May 15, 1939 in Martins Ferry, Ohio to the late Alfred R. and Mary N. Corona. She is survived by her loving family: her devoted husband of 54 years, Joseph W.; her children, Debie (Jim) Baumann and David (Helen) Baltzer; grandchildren, Justin, Nathan and Luke Baltzer, Jimmy and Jacci Baumann; and many loving friends and extended family members. An active member and volunteer with St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. A constant caregiver to all, Deann's passion to serve others, led her to provide care and support to families within Reach for Recovery and at Kobacker House. Her years of employment were spent at A&S Curtain Shop as a salesperson, Jerry Kerns Cake Shop as a cake decorator and as a Store Manager with Fashion Bug. She enjoyed being around people, when you saw Deann she would light up with a genuine smile and a kind word. She will be missed by all who knew her. Family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-5 p.m., at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High Street in Worthington, where a Prayer Service will be held at 4:30 p.m. that afternoon. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, 10 a.m., January 20, 2014 at St. Joan of Arc, 10700 Liberty Road, Powell, Ohio 43065 with Father James Black, Celebrant. Interment to follow Kingwood Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society, Attn.: St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 10700 Liberty Road, Powell, Ohio 43065 in her loving memory.
