Palmer Jack R. Palmer, Sr., age 74, went to be with his beloved Mary, March 9, 2014. Born in Columbus, he was a retired college instructor, and all-around jack of all trades. He was a proud member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and a friend to everyone he met. Preceded in death by wife Mary and son Jackie. Survived by sons, John (Karen), and Sam (Keri); daughter, Becky (Jay) West; 12 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Charlene Dailey and Myrna Rose (Bruce) Ganier; brothers, James and John Palmer; many nieces and nephews, and dear friends. Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at COOK & SON - PALLAY FUNERAL HOME, 1631 Parsons Ave., where service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Pastor Tim Lee officiating. Interment Eastlawn Cemetery.
