Callaghan James T. Callaghan, 80, of Upper Arlington died suddenly February 13, 2013 as a result of complications from heart surgery. Our beloved Paw Paw was born in Columbus, Ohio on November 30, 1932. Graduated from South High School and Franklin University. Retired from Auto Club Insurance Company as a CPCU and Senior Vice President. Retirement was short lived and Dad extended his career for 14 more years at The Columbus Chamber of Commerce and was appointed Senior Sales Manager. A man of strong faith and a devoted member of St. Andrew Catholic Church. A Veteran of the United States Navy and charter member of Sawmill Athletic Club. Preceded in death by his parents Martha and Cornelius J. Callaghan, brother Robert, sisters Reta Ruddy and Eileen Maddex. Survived by his loving and devoted wife of 46 years, Nancy; son, Greg (Danielle); daughter, Kristi (Jim) Kaparos; son, Scott (Nancy); daughter, Toni; sister, Cecilia (Jack) Knox; sisters-in-law Concetta Felice and Frances Grispino. A host of loving nieces and nephews. Dad is also survived by his adoring grandchildren whom he doted on endlessly: Caden, Camryn and Deegan Callaghan, Kyle, Cole and Courtney Kaparos, Sydney, Sammie and Finn Callaghan. Christmas will never be the same and his presence will be terribly missed on the sidelines. We are profoundly grateful for the care and guidance of Dr. Ernest Mazzaferri, MD, Dr. Ahmet Kilic, MD, and the entire staff at the Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital. Friends received Sunday, 3-7p.m. at the MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI Funeral Home, 1068 S. High St. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Monday at St. Andrew Church, 1899 McCoy Rd. Burial St. Joseph Cemetery.
