Jerry K. Hatfield Jr. Obituary
HATFIELD Jerry K. Hatfield, Jr., age 36, of Reynoldsburg, passed away January 1, 2013. Jay was born August 25, 1976 in Columbus. He attended Northland High School where he played JV baseball and graduated from Northwest Career Center. Jay was a cheerful, outgoing, and loving man who loved life. He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church, participated in baseball, soccer and Cub Scouts with his son, and was an avid sports fan, especially WWE Wrestling, Bengals, Reds, and Buckeyes. Above all else however, Jay was truly a family man. He loved nothing more than spending time with loved ones. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Harold and Lucy Rieder, paternal grandfather Roger Hatfield, great-grandmother Effie Barnes, cousin Geraldine Deemer, and aunt Carol Clark. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 11 years, Angel-Ramona Hatfield; children, Kayla-Marie Reynolds and Joseph Hatfield; mother, Virginia (Frank) Merz; father, Jerry (Margaret) Hatfield; mother-in-law, Sherry Scheemaker; paternal grandmother, Joanne Hatfield; siblings, Jamie (Heather), Tricia, Willie, and Hayley Hatfield; special cousin, Paul Hatfield; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2013 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 807 Havens Corners Rd. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd. Father Ryan Schmit, Celebrant. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Family requests visitors please wear their favorite Bengals, Reds, or Buckeye attire in Jay's memory. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of Central Ohio, 4700 Lakehurst Ct., Suite 225, Dublin, Ohio 43016.
