Caron Joan Paire Caron, 84, of Worthington, OH, died peacefully at the Convalarium of Dublin on February 16, 2014. She was born October 22, 1929 in Crawfordsville, IN, the daughter of George and Berthel Paire and was married to Donald Herbert Caron on March 23, 1947. Soon after, they moved to Fairborn, OH, while Donald was stationed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. Joan had a long career at Sears Roebuck Company as a secretary at both the store and district levels. Prior to the birth of their son, John Caron, they moved to Kettering, OH, where they lived until Joan moved to Worthington after Donald's death in 1998. Joan enjoyed traveling. In addition to a cross-country road trip to California, she visited Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Michigan, Illinois, New York, and England. Joan was also a voracious reader, and her favorite author was Danielle Steel. She read the complete collection of Ms. Steel's novels and enjoyed many other books by writers within the same genre. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Kettering, OH, and more recently of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Columbus, OH. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Donald, and her brother Warren Paire. She is survived by her loving son, John Caron (Chad Eberle) of Columbus, OH. The funeral service will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1555 South James Road, Columbus, OH, 43227 on Monday, February 24 at 7 p.m. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 5600 East Broad Street, Columbus, OH, 43213 on Tuesday, February 25 at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions in Joan's name can be made to the Redeemer Lutheran Church Building Fund.
