COOPER Johnny E. Cooper, cherished husband, dad, papa, brother and friend, died unexpectedly on December 26, 2012 at the age of 46. He was born May 15, 1966 in Columbus, OH to the late Pearl J. (Crockett) Willis and was a 1984 graduate of Columbus South High School. Johnny was a Columbus City firefighter, having spent the majority of his career on Ladder 15; recently transferring to the Fire Prevention Bureau. Johnny was passionate about roller skating and working out, but above all, he was a family man who deeply loved his children. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jessica S. (Conaway) Cooper; children, Charise, Jasmine, Johnny II and Olivia; granddaughter, Aria Elizabeth Pearl; grandfather, Johnny Cooper; siblings, Kim (Romel) Johnson, Dennis (Anita) Cooper and Darrell (Ricky) Byrd; mother-in-law, Susan Conaway; father-in-law, Tom (Beth) Conaway; brother-in-law, Tim (Liz) Conaway; many special nieces, nephews, extended family and good friends. Family will receive friends 3-7 p.m. Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Schoedinger Midtown Chapel, 229 E. State St., Columbus, OH 43215; Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Monday, December 31, 2012 at the Community of Holy Rosary/St. John Church, 648 S. Ohio Ave., Columbus, OH 43205; Fr. Joshua J. Wagner, Celebrant; interment to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Those who wish may contribute to the Johnny Cooper Memorial Fund through any Fifth/Third Bank for the benefit of his children.
