King Linda Boorman King, of Sarasota, Florida, formerly of Columbus, Ohio, passed away suddenly May 13, 2013 while visiting her daughter Cathy. She is preceded in death by her parents William and Thelma Delong Boorman of Portsmouth, Ohio and her brother Bill Boorman of Columbus. Linda is survived by her husband, Ed King of Sarasota, formerly of Columbus; daughters, Caren Harrison of Columbus and Cathy Fisher (Charlie) of Ashville, Ohio; grandchildren, Amanda North (Kenneth) of Lancaster and Charlie Fisher Jr. of Grove City, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Zoe and Amelia North, Jenna, Logan, and Jozlynn Fisher. She is also survived by her sister, Judy Boorman Eby (John) of Trinity, Florida; as well as many nieces and nephews. Linda is a graduate of Portsmouth High School (1955) and Mercy Hospital School of Nursing (1958) where she earned her RN degree. She went on to become a gifted Dependency Drug and Alcohol Nurse and Counselor in Columbus and Sarasota. A Memorial Service in Christian celebration of Linda's life will be held May 25, at Sarasota Baptist Church in Sarasota, Florida at 11 a.m., officiated by her brother-in-law, Rev. John Eby.
