Goldberg Lois Ethel Brown Goldberg. Please celebrate the life and loss of our mother, confidant, and friend, Lois Ethel Brown Goldberg, 92, who passed away Sunday, February 9, 2014. She was born in Harrison, Oh , and lived in Columbus, Oh. Lois is preceded in death by her husband Maurice Marshall Goldberg, her parents Winifred Simon and Alex Gilmore Brown, and her 11 siblings. Lois worked for the City of Columbus, Division of Water, and retired from the Division of Engineering and Construction in 1993 as a senior payroll accountant. She was a member of Temple Israel, the Leo Yassinoff Center, joining Silver Sneakers and attending Livecare Alliance lunches there, and member of Catco and Gallery Players. she also volunteered at Heritage House and Temple Israel. Lois is survived by her stepdaughter, Gloria Goldberg Harlib Geiger (Bob); her daughters, Esther Goldberg Kravitz, Joyce Goldberg Weingard, Nancy Goldberg Knight (Jeff); her grandchildren, Michelle Weingard (Chad), Kelly Weingard Johnson (Joe), Stacey Kauffman Peters (Craig), Matthew Kauffman (fiancé, Jasmine Ben Tal), Allison Kauffman Bean (Joshua), Jaimee McVay Ehoodin (Alex), Vicki Geiger Leehey (Kevin), Philip Geiger (Lisa); and great grandchildren, Kaiden and Jordan Johnson, Mason and Levi Peters, Maya Bean, Gabby, Nick and Sean Leehey, and Ethan, Jackie, and Tori Geiger; and many nieces and nephew. We would like to thank all our "Special Angel" nurses in Hospice who took such gentle, loving care of our mother and family at Mt. Carmel East. A special thank you to Rabbi Misha Zinko for the touching private family service held, and Jeff Davis of Deyo-Davis Funeral Home for his warmth and guidance.
