Barbee Louis Joseph Barbee, 80, of Lewis Center, died Friday, April 26, 2013. He was born April 14, 1933 in Columbus to Louis Jr. and Kathryn (Downs) Barbee. He graduated from Linden McKinley High School in 1951 and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. A resident of Lewis Center since 1974, he was a retired brick mason and was a lifetime member and fifty year member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers and also of Local 55. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and was a long time member of the Vintage Auto Club. He and his wife Patricia were nationally known leaders of Round Dancing. Surviving are his wife, Patricia; two sons, Philip of New Braunfels TX, Craig (Becki) of Bowling Green KY; daughter-in-law, Debra Boucherle of Columbus; and grandchildren, Emily Dawson (Robert) Kristin Pirample (John), Aimee Boucherle, Leslie Boucherle, Daniel Barbee (Amber), Alan Barbee (Morgan), Russell Barbee (Stacey), Paul Boucherle and Iain Findlay. He was preceded in death by his son Dale in 1980 and daughter-in-law Donna in 2007. Visitation will be Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the ROBINSON FUNERAL HOME, where a prayer vigil will be held at 7:30 p.m. A mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, at 10 a.m. in St. Mary Catholic Church with Msgr. Anthony Missimi as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Contributions may be made to HomeReach Hospice, 561 W.
