Marjorie Julianna Hummell ( nee Bolg), 94, of Worthington Ohio passed away on May 31, 2018. Born on May 27, 1924 to John and Juliana Bolg of Columbus Ohio, Marjorie graduated from West High School in December of 1941. Marjorie (known to many as Marge) received her bachelor's degree in biological science from The Ohio State University, where she met her husband of 70 years. After graduation they moved to the family farm in Brice, Ohio and Marge worked for Warren Teed. Marjorie was the leader of the Brice Busy Bees 4-H club teaching many a young lady how to sew, cook and garden; an active member of the Brice United Methodist Church, and a member of the local garden club. In 1978 Marge and her husband moved to Worthington. She was a member of the choir of the Linworth United Methodist Church, active in tennis leagues, book clubs, and bridge groups. She was a loving mother and grandmother, passing on her enjoyment of reading and her baking ability to many of her offspring. She had a loving heart and always had a kind word for everyone. Marjorie passed two weeks after the death of her husband, John Daniel Hummell She is also preceded in death by her parents and her brother, John Bolg. She is survived by daughters Anne Christine Hummell , Jennifer Schoenfeld (Michael) and Nancy Ingham (William), grandchildren James (April) and Robert Schoenfeld; Sally, Scott and Lisa Ingham and many nieces and nephews. A dual memorial service for Marjorie and her husband John will be held Monday, June 18, 2018 at Linworth United Methodist Church: 1:00 pm visitation with family, 2:00 pm service with light refreshments to follow. Memorials to Linworth United Methodist Church ( 7070 Bent Tree Blvd, Columbus, OH 43235) and Alzheimer's research ( Alzheimers Assocation, (alz.org) or Earle and Jean Bruce Foundation (wexnermedical.osu.edu)).
