Patricia Colleen Hazlett, of Piqua, OH, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018 in her residence at the age of 66. She was born October 11, 1951 to Gerald and Lois (Cooperider) Hazlett of St. Louisville, OH. Pat is survived by 1 sister, Beth (Paul) Ramsey of Piqua, OH; 2 brothers, Mike (Terri) Hazlett of Newark, OH, Tom Hazlett of Orrville, OH; and 1 brother-in-law, Keith Welch of Lancaster, OH. She is survived by 5 nephews and 6 nieces who are Mark (Terrie) Bennett of Sidney, OH, Joe Bennett of Middletown, OH, Kevin Bennet of Fayetteville, N.C., David Welch of Columbus, OH, and David Myers (Ashley Yates) of Newark, OH; Tanya (Giles) Kennedy of Westerville, OH, Joyce (David) Lotspih of Troy, OH, Pam Welch (Nate Plank) of Lancaster, OH, Tammy Welch of Lancaster, OH, Amanda (Jon) Holmes of Columbus, OH, Kim Mason (Doug Smith) of Heath, OH; as well as, 5 great nephews and 6 great nieces. She is also survived by her Aunt Margaret Mock formerly of Gahanna, OH and many cousins. Pat was preceded in death by her parents Gerald and Lois Hazlett, 1 sister Nanette Welch, 6 uncles, and 4 aunts. Pat graduated from Newark Catholic High School in 1969, Ohio State University in 1975 with a Bachelor's of Science in Education Degree, and Columbus State College in 1999 with an Associate's Degree in Public Recreation. She worked as a Nursing Aide to elderly patients at Whetstone Care Center in Columbus, OH for 28 years and also worked at Upper Arlington Schools in Columbus, OH as a pre-school teacher for 11 years. Pat's hobbies were writing poetry, photography, biking, traveling, and making dolls. A Celebration of Life Service will occur Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at the Columbus Park of Roses at the Pavilion by the Pond, 3901 N. High St., Columbus, OH.
