Petit Raymond August Petit, loving husband, father, and grandfather, went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 6, 2014. Born November 3, 1922 in Wadsworth, Ohio to Elsie and Raymond C. Petit, he served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and worked in the retail tire business until retirement. He was preceded in death by wife Betty and sons Craig and Matthew. Surviving are sons, Phillip (Carol) and Todd (Claudia); grandchildren, Amanda (Ramon) Schaefer, Andrew, Alex, and James Petit; and great grandchilden, Gracie and Cole Schaefer. A private memorial service with Pastor Richard Walston of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to Wesley Glen, 5155 N. High St., Columbus, OH 43214 or Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 100 East Schrock Road, Westerville, OH 43081. The kindness and devotion of the Wesley Glen Special care unit staff toeard Ray and his family is greatly appreciated.
