Everson Richard Everson, beloved father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, passed at his home on Monday, February 10, 2014. He is survived by his son, Ryan; his brother, Jack; his sisters, Debi and Janet (Henry); nine nieces and nephews; seven grand-nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Shirlie Everson. He was a 1976 graduate of Chillicothe High School, where he was a member of the percussion section of the marching band for four years and was active in band camps. After graduation, he attended Ohio University, where he majored in Communications. Rich worked as a Technology Consultant at Educational Resources for 15 years. He most recently worked at VSP for 11 years, where he enjoyed working on special projects such as mentoring and efficiency improvements. Rich had a passion for photography, for reviving the Chillicothe High School Alumni Band, the Ohio University 110 and watching football, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers. He enjoyed hanging out with his son, paintball, playing a number of musical instruments, and staying current in computer technology. Rich will best be remembered for his compassion, generosity, kindness and unique sense of humor. Big man with a big heart; he will be missed by us all.
