Rooker Ronald H. Rooker, age 79, passed away January 28, 2014. He was a devoted husband, father and grandpap who is loved and will be dearly missed. He is preceded in death by parents Harvey and Dorothy Rooker, brother George Rooker. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mae DiCesare Rooker; children, Dorothy Rooker Bates of Westerville, OH, Ron H. (Rosemary) Rooker Jr. of Findlay, OH, Robert (Holly) Rooker of Strongsville, OH, Russ (Wendy) Rooker of Galloway, OH; grandchildren, Stephanie, Ryan, Hannah, Korrin, Zach, Spencer, Joelle, Adam and Roxy Mae; many other relatives and friends. Ron was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served in the Korean War. Member of American Legion. A true highlight was his September 2013 trip on the Honor Flight of Columbus. He was an active member of Holy Spirit Church where he was involved with the Happy Spirits and was a member of Knights of Columbus Marion Council 3864. Active member of the Whitehall Senior Center. Ron worked as an air traffic controller at Port Columbus Int'l Airport with 32 years of service. He also worked for H&R Block for 20 years. He was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He loved golfing and was a proud member of the hole in one club that he achieved in 2012. Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL, 4019 East Livingston Ave., where a Prayer Service will be held at 3:45 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday at 10 a.m. at Holy Spirit Church, 4383 East Broad Street.
