Mellman Selma Mellman, age 88, passed away on March 1, 2013. Beloved wife of Myer Mellman, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Preceded in death by her husband Myer Mellman, son Dennis Mellman, granddaughter Gail "Gwen" and five brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Patty Mellman and Diane (Warren) Israel; daughter-in-law, Sheila Mellman; grandchildren, Joshua (Jessica Carbetta) DeBerry, Sarah (Joe) Nolan, Jason Mellman, Rebecca (Josh) Sarett and Jeffrey (Dina) Israel; great- grandchildren, London Rose DeBerry, Stella and Leo Sarett, Morris Israel, Zachary Carsey, Cormac and Eoin Nolan; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Selma was a vibrant, beautiful and inspiring woman. She loved the visual arts and had an eye for all the beauty of nature and life. Many thanks to those who loved and cared for Selma and fulfilled her life in many ways. Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 3rd at THE EPSTEIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 3232 E. Main St. with Rabbi Cary Kozberg officiating. Burial will follow at New Agudas Achim Cemetery. Shiva will be observed at 2200 Welcome Pl., Apt. 208 on Sunday at 7 p.m. and Monday at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to The Selma and Myer Mellman Founders Fund at the Columbus Jewish Foundation or The Selma and Myer Mellman Visual Arts Fund at at the Columbus Jewish Foundation or The Selma and Myer Mellman Visual Arts Fund at the Jewish Community Center.
