KOCH Suzanne Botley Koch. Our Mom, Sue, of Upper Arlington, passed away on December 18, 2012 in Sunrise at The Scioto. Mom was born in Columbus, OH on April 7, 1922. She was raised in Cleveland, OH, graduated from Shaker Heights High School and attended The Ohio State University where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity. Mom served in the U.S. Navy WAVES, 1943-46, stationed in Washington D.C. She was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church, serving as a Deacon and also an advocate for the homeless with Interfaith Hospitality Network. Mom was a longtime hospice volunteer at Kobacker House. Most of all Mom never failed to be there for us girls. We are most grateful to all the staff at Sunrise for their constant loving care for mom. We are also very thankful for the HomeReach Hospice Team for all their wonderful comfort care. Sue is preceded in death by parents Elizabeth R. and Robert D. Botley, Sr., husband John M. Koch and brother Robert D. Botley, Jr. Sue is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Carey and Alan Toops and Kathy and Jerry Simmons. Also sister-in-law, Anna Mae Botley, California; niece, Rebecca Blackshaw, New Zealand; nephew, Stephen Botley, Oregon; and cousin, Shelley Beall, Worthington, OH. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2013 at St. John's Episcopal Church, 700 High St., Worthington, OH 43085.
