Tolber (Peaks) Tracy Elizabeth (Peaks) Tolber, was born May 23, 1964 in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of Lauren Patrice Shepherd and Leroy Stokes. She departed this life on Sunday, September 15, 2013 and entered the arms of God. Tracy was raised on the Northside of Columbus. She accepted Christ as a young adult attending Church of Christ, and was a member of Greater Emmanuel Apostolic Church and sang in the Agape Choir. Tracy graduated from West High School in 1982. Education was very important to Tracy, and she pushed everyone to go get that paper. Tracy received her Associates Degree in 1997 from Columbus State Community College. Upon completion, she attended Wilberforce University, obtaining her Bachelor's Degree. She graduated from DeVry/Keller Graduate School in 2003 with her Master's Degree. At the time of her death, Tracy was finishing her doctorate degree at Capella University. Tracy had an entrepreneurial spirit and always had some type of business on the side. She was president of Topnotch Business Services, and a Traci Lynn Jewelry consultant. Tracy was preceded in death by grandfather Russell Doyle Weaver, grandmother Donna Elizabeth Weaver, and uncle Tommy Spencer Weaver. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Troy Steven Tolber and Courtney Patrice Sutton; father, Leroy (Valerie) Stokes of Greensboro, NC; mother, Lauren Patrice Shepherd; grandchildren, TaQwaun and Javonte Smith-Tolber, Jadia and Jayonna Runyon, Samiya and Taniya Tolber; brothers, Leroy (Shonia) Stokes, II and Maurice (LaShonda )Stokes, Greensboro, NC; Harvey Shepherd, IV; sister, Twhila (Steven) Holley; uncles Anthony Weaver, Andrew Weaver; special Aunt, Yvonne (Bonnie) Weaver; companion, Astley B. Davey; special friends, Rodney Sutton, Charletta Mitchell, Deborah Oglesby, and Lorie Rose; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, family and friends.
