Melaragno Vincent J. Melaragno, age 88, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2014, after a lengthy illness at Select Specialty Hospital. He was an Army-Air Force veteran of WWII, retired from Bates and Rogers Construction Company and was a member of the carpenters union for 60 years. He is preceded in death by his parents Giuseppe and Lucia, sister Yolanda and brother Tony. He is survived by his devoted wife of 66 years, Mary Ailene (Visintine) Melaragno; children, Susan (Roger) Perry, Nancy Davis, Michael (Karren) Melaragno and Linda (Craig) Hildreth; loving grandchildren, Heather Perry, Brian Perry, Tamra Cross, Brandon Mather, Brogan Mather, Chelsie Melaragno and Sarah Melaragno; great-grand-children, Evan Perry, Nolan Perry and Madilyn Perry; brother, Frank Melaragno. He loved to play golf and enjoyed traveling and sports. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who always made us laugh and never knew a stranger. The family welcomes friends and relatives on Wednesday, March 19, 2014, from 3-8 p.m., at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 West Fifth Avenue, Columbus, with a Prayer Service at 7:45 p.m. Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 20, 2014, at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 1088 Thomas Lane, Columbus, with entombment to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Lockbourne, Ohio.
