Lowry Sr. William "Bill" Russell Lowry Sr., 68, of Delaware, passed away Monday evening, March 25, 2013 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. He was born May 10, 1944 in Delaware to Dorrance and Clarine (Chambers) Lowry. He retired from OSU Printing Facility and was a member of the William St. United Methodist Church. He enjoyed working on cars especially his 1967 Barracuda, going to car shows, fishing, and when younger golfing. Left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, James Richard "Rick" and William "Rusty" Lowry Jr., both of Delaware; daughter, Charlynn Lowry of Delaware; grandson, Darby Lowry; great-grandson, Timothy Lowry; brothers, Donald of Delaware and Robert of Marysville; sisters-in-law, Mary Jo Axthelm and Cindy Lugo of Waldo and Carla Blake of Marion; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Cathleen Marie Lowry. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 1 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the SNYDER-RODMAN FUNERAL CENTER, 1510 W. William Street at Valleyside Drive, Delaware and where funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 2 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Greenmound Cemetery.
