BROOKS Kenneth L. Brooks, "Kenny" "Pops", age 72, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2011. He was born on March 19, 1939 in Reynoldsburg, Ohio to the late Charles Ivan Brooks and Charlotte Mae (Coey) Brooks. He was a graduate of Reynoldsburg High School, Class of '57, and attended Otterbein College. He was a wonderful husband, father, grand-father, and friend. Kenny belonged to the Reynoldsburg Fraternal Order of Eagles, Reynoldsburg Truro Historical Society, and the Reynoldsburg Athletic Hall of Fame. He had a passion for football, basketball, golf, fishing, racehorses, and his family and friends. Kenny's great sense of humor, honesty, and generosity will always be remembered forever. He was preceded in death by his sister Leola (Brooks) Evans. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Letha (Lewis) Brooks; his children, Allan "Chip" Brooks and companion, Mackenzi Thompson, Tom Brooks and companion, Kim Burtrum, Tim Brooks and his wife, Linda; granddaughters, Lara, Krysta, Ally, Chelsea, Heidi; great-grandchildren, Payton, Miles, and Noah; brothers-in-law, Jesse Evans and Lenny (Julie) Lewis; sisters-in-law, Linda (Ray) Amore and Lora Lewis; and many nieces and nephews and many close friends. His family will receive friends Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the COTNER FUNERAL HOME, 7369 E. Main St., Reynoldsburg, where his funeral service will be Saturday at 10 a.m., with interment to follow at Violet Township Cemetery.
