KELLER Robert T. Keller, 83, of Gahanna, Ohio, formerly of Worthington, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 7, 2012. He was born April 3, 1928, in Middletown, OH, son of the late Scott and Freda (Creech) Keller. He is also preceded in death by twin brother Richard, sister-in-law Pat, daughter-in-law Debbie and grand-daughter Rebecca. Bob was a 1946 graduate of Middletown High School where he played on the State Championship Basketball team. He was a 1950 graduate of Otterbein College, the place he met the love of his life. Before his retirement he added his expertise to many companies including Borror Corp., First Community Village, Summer & Co. and Westerville Golf Center. He volunteered with many civic and church organizations, including "O" Club, Cardinal Boosters, little league baseball and football coaching, and Hospital and church boards. Bob Keller never met a stranger. His favorite activities included loving his wife, wrestling with his kids in the living room, playing basketball in the driveway, teaching his kids and grandkids to play tennis, drive, fish, throw a baseball, and how to hammer a nail with only occasional smacks to the thumb. Every one of his 11 grandchildren had him wrapped around their little finger and all will claim to be his favorite. Much of Bob's time was spent cheering on his children and grandchildren at sporting events and concerts. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Miriam (Wise); sons, Scott, Atlanta, GA and Chuck (Lisa) Seattle, WA; daughters, Ruth (Dave) Hayes and Kathy (Jerry) Brand, both in Gahanna, OH.; grandchildren, Matthew, Luke, Stephanie, Robert, Katie, Sam, Ben, Hana, Amy, Scott and Mark. A Memorial Celebration will be held Saturday, March 10, at 2:30 p.m. at Central College Presbyterian Church in Westerville, OH. Family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Special thanks to all the wonderful people at Emeritus at Chestnut Hill and Acclaim Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to the Central College Presbyterian Church Music Dept.
