SOLES G. Edward "Eddie" Soles, age 72, left this life on earth on Good Friday, April 6, 2012, to excitedly be with his Lord. Eddie was born on October 29, 1939 in Columbus, OH. He was a loving husband to Karen Scott Soles; as well as father to Susan (Mark) Lehmann of VA and Karie (Steve) Cox of Westerville, OH. He was a grandpa to six grandchildren, Lindsay, Gail and Andrew Lehmann, loving referred to as Big Ed to Corie, Cole and Shantel Cox. He graduated from North High School in 1957 and was inducted into the schools Hall of Fame. Attended Capital University and was Past President of the Men's Club, naming a few of many involvements. Eddie belonged and contributed to the FOPA as Chaplain and State President. Over 60 years of service at the Ohio State Fair and placed in the Hall of Fame. He was also active on the board for Central Ohio Youth for Christ. Founder of Music Man Sound Co. in 1967 at 3242 N. High St. in Clintonville. Eddie was known as honest, knowledgeable and helpful to everyone needing audio equipment. Through his life he served the Lord as an ordained minister and worship leader. Was director of children and youth groups, prison ministries, along with running sound. From childhood he has belong to Hansberger United Methodist and Peace United Methodist. A gathering and celebration service will be held at North Park Church of Christ, 4938 Westerville Rd., Columbus, OH 43231, on Sunday, April 15 at 3:30 p.m. The Soles Family would love to invite everyone to stay for an old fashion potluck that Eddie loved. If you would like to bring your favorite food to share. Remaining food will be taken to the Kobacker Hospice House to share with other families offering love and support. Memorial contributions may be made to Youth for Christ, Columbus Chapter. Pastors Steve Petty and Tom Keene officiating. Arrangements by SHAW-DAVIS FUNERAL HOMES.
