FRYE Don E. Frye, passed away peacefully in his home on November 25, 2012, surrounded by family, at 96 years young. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle. He is survived by his loving wife, Edie of 29 years; son, Donn Frye (wife Rachel); step-daughter, Barbara Collinge (husband, Jack); step-son, David Buescher (wife, Kristy); grandchildren, Taylor and Catherine Frye, Michael and Brittany Collinge, Jenni Buescher Wirtjes, Matt, Gary, and Brett Buescher; great-grandchildren, Jaslynn and Dylan Wirtjes, and Zane Buescher. He is also survived by brother, Bill Fry (wife, Mary Jo); and Morris the cat. Don was preceded in death by his first wife Mikey, son Michael, and many four legged companions. Don was born in Cincinnati, and resided in Ohio until moving to Arizona in August 1962. He founded Prestige Cleaners in Scottsdale in 1964. A strong supporter of the community, he served on several boards and commissions. He was also a member of the Scottsdale Historical Society, Founder of Jazz in AZ, and served as a Director for the Scottsdale Boys Club. He was honored as Small Business Person of the Year in 1980. In 2002 he was inducted into the Scottsdale History Hall of Fame. Don traveled the world with his wife and many friends who shared his love of music. A devoted "Buckeye", on Saturday, November 24, he quietly cheered his team to victory. The memory of his smile, and his love of life remains with each of us.
