BEAVERS Ray E. Beavers, 76, of Orient, March 21, 1936-December 3, 2012. He was preceded in death by his daughter Patricia Ann, parents John "Dub" and Evelyn, brothers Gene and Paul. He is survived by Donna Jean (Lanning) his loving wife of 57 years; children, Kevin (Rhonda), Debbie Grabill, Renee (Danny) Brusk; siblings, Donna (Howard) Kunder, Yvonne (Leonard) Fredrick; eight grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and five great- grandchildren. He attended Scioto High School, played on the Scioto basketball team, and was a proud member of the FFA, where he held the position of president his senior year. Ray proudly served as Scioto Twp trustee for 25 years. Ray was a lifetime farmer in Scioto Twp. He was a member of the Scioto Men's Club, Farmers Club, and the Pickaway County Sheriff's Association. He loved to square dance, and cherished family gatherings. He was an avid Ohio State basketball fan. He will be sadly missed by family, friends, and all who knew him. Family will receive friends Saturday, from 6-8 p.m. and Sunday, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL where a service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Beckett Cemetery, Commercial Point.
