MACKIN Rosemary Tague Mackin, 90, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away December 31, 2012. She was warm, generous and devoted to her family and will be deeply missed. Rosemary was born on March 5, 1922 to Paul and Blanche Gordon Tague in New Lexington, Ohio. She spoke glowingly of her parents and siblings and told many insightful stories about growing up during the Depression and WWII. Rosemary graduated from Ohio State University and earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Education. She was a Pi Beta Phi sorority member and an editor of the Makio. She worked at the Bureau of Business Research and later at the Columbus Chamber of Commerce as a business analyst. Rosemary married John J. (Jack) Mackin May 12, 1951 at Holy Name Catholic Church in Columbus. She returned to teaching in 1970 and her tenure as a business education teacher to adults with the Columbus Public School system lasted until her retirement in 1986. She was a member of many bridge clubs, the Norwester Club, and St. Agatha Church. Rosemary is survived by her caring children, Nancy (Roger) of Orlando, FL, John of Columbus OH, Patrick of Columbus OH, Joseph of Emmittsburg MD, Jane (Christopher) of Cincinnati OH, Thomas of Los Angeles CA, Ellen (Steve) of New Albany OH and William (Laura) of Dublin OH; grandchildren, Dennis, Michael (Sabina), William, Lauren, Adam, and Kathryn; and great-grandchildren, Michael, Mason, Samantha; her sister, Dorothy Racher; sister-in-law, Beverlee Ann Hubbart Tague; as well as many wonderful nieces, nephews, and friends. Rosemary is preceded in death by her husband, parents, siblings Robert (Betty) Tague, Joseph Tague, Paul Tague, in-law siblings Frank Racher, Lawrence (Dorothy) Mackin, Father James A. Mackin SJ, and Sister Maureen Mackin. Friends may call Friday, January 4 from 4-7 p.m. at EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 4661 Kenny Road, Columbus, Ohio. Rosemary's Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, January 5 at 10 a.m. at St. Agatha Church, 1860 Northam Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio with Father Daniel L. Ochs as Celebrant.
