Warren Grant Blue Obituary
Blue Warren Grant Blue, age 87, of Upper Arlington, passed away on July 13, 2013. He was born to the late Esther and Roger Blue on March 30, 1926 and resided in Columbus, Ohio his entire life. He graduated from Columbus North High School and received his BA from The Ohio State University and went on to graduate from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. Warren served his country as a lieutenant in the Navy during WWII and also the Korean War. He was a member of HX-300, the largest naval convoy in history. He was a member of the Ohio and American Bar Association and joined the Ohio General Attorney's office before becoming vice president of the Ohio Manufacturers Association. He finished out his career at 74 years old as vice president and general counsel of RE Harrington. Throughout his career Warren was called to testify before Congressional Committees many times as an expert witness on issues of unemployment insurance. He was a long time member of the Scioto Country Club, the Columbus Athletic Club, and Liberty Presbyterian Church. Warren will be greatly missed by his loving wife Marijo; and four children, Teresa Benedict (Bruce), Michael Blue (Joni), Jennifer Ayers, and step-daughter Katelyn Kelley (Jeremy). Warren also leaves behind five grandchildren, Liz, Will, Brittany, Wes, and Avery. He was a very generous man who was always willing to help out his friends and family. Warren passed away as he lived his life, with great dignity and grace. Family will receive friends on Saturday July 27, 2013 at LIBERTY PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 7080 Olentangy River Rd Delaware, OH 43015.
