Thompson Terry L. Thompson, age 57, of Galena died Thursday July 18, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his family. Born August 22, 1955 in Columbus to the late Lester Thompson and Shirley (Jackey) Simpson of Sunbury. A 1973 graduate of Big walnut High school Terry had worked for Advanced Auto as a forklift operator for 40 years. Terry had a kind heart and would do anything for anyone. He especially had a soft spot in his heart for his granddaughter Charlotte. He enjoyed car shows, woodworking and being outside. Terry was in the process of restoring his maroon 1967 GTO he purchased by mowing grass as a young man. He loved to decorate for Christmas and had a complete village with ceramic houses, lights, trees and a water fall. His daughters loved doing things with dad like camping, remodeling the house and working in the yard. He is survived by his daughters, Kristen (Brad) Jones, Kara (Justin) Baby both of Galena; granddaughter, Charlotte; mother, Shirley Simpson of Sunbury; sisters, Theresa (Bob Cavallaro) Fox of Johnstown, Sarah (Richard) Stoy of Overland Park, Kansas. Friends may call 2-5 p.m. Sunday DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR 3 at 61, Sunbury where services will be Monday 10 a.m. with Celebrant Don Lockwood officiating. Interment in the Berkshire Cemetery.
