Arrick Walter Gerald Arrick, age 73, Monday, July 15, 2013 Mt. Carmel East Hospital. He was a graduate of London High School class of 1958. Veteran US Army 82nd Airborne Division. Member of Gahanna Post #797 American Legion, Bubba Club, State of Ohio Golf League. Refereed OHSAA Basketball and member of Central Ohio Basketball Officials Association (COBOA) for 16 years. He was the League Commissioner of Suburban East Swim League. Retired from Columbus Municipal Employees Credit Union. Member Eastminster Presbyterian Church where he served as Elder and Trustee. Volunteer for Ronald McDonald House. Survived by wife, Jan Arrick; daughters, Jackie (Aaron) Murray, Jill (Mark) Kaethow, Jodie Arrick, Jennifer (Duke) Chadwick; grandchildren, Allison, Casey and Madison Murray, Ryan (Christine) and Kyle Kaethow, Jacob Chadwick; great-grandchildren Haylee and Wyatt Kaethow; brother-in-law, Jack (Tana) Martin; sister-in-law, Kay Arrick; other loving family and friends. Preceded in death by father Walter Arrick, mother Helen Arrick Dougherty, step-father Danny Dougherty, brothers Theodore and Robert Arrick. Memorial service Saturday, July 27, 2013 11 a.m. Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 3100 E. Broad St. Pastor Karen Stahr-Bloom officiating.
