Carolyn Johnson was born Nov. 24, 1959, in Forrest City, to L.B. Haggins Sr., of Chicago and Otha Mae Ford of Forrest City.
Carolyn accepted Christ at a young age. She was a member of New Light M.B. Church in Forrest City. Carolyn was a loving woman. She was a mother, sister, protector, grandmother and so much more. Carolyn liked to spend time with family and friends. To know her was to love her. She worked as a cook for many years.
Carolyn departed her life on Monday, April 2, 2018, at Methodist Hospital in Memphis.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Ronnie Ford, L.B. Haggins Jr., and two sisters, Mae Gladys Graham and Diana Bland.
Carolyn leaves behind her loving and caring children, Ishya Steward and Jazmine Candy both of Little Rock, Katrina O'Neal (Ryan) of California, Veronica Johnson and Troy Sparkman, both of Forrest City, and Saqusia Millbrooks of Jonesboro. Also cherishing her memories are her surviving sisters and brothers, Patricia Jones, Lewis Driver, Calvin Haggins and Rodney Ford, all of Forrest City, Sharon (Tony) Hicks, Michael Ford and Robert Ford, all of Dallas, Tony Ford of Glenn Heights, Texas and Ricky Haggins of Chicago. She leaves behind 15 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, April 6, 2018, from 3 to 6 p.m., in the chapel of Kincaid Funeral Services. Funeral services for Carolyn Johnson will be held Saturday, April 7, 2018, at 11 a.m., at Lane Chapel C.M.E. Church, with Pastor Ronald Williams delivering the eulogy. Burial will be at Casteel Cemetery.
Kincaid Funeral Services of of Forrest City is in charge of arrangements.
