Henry Allen "Bud" Busby Obituary
Mr. Henry Allen 'Bud' Busby, age 77, of Palestine, died Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at his home in Palestine. He had been in poor health for the past several years.
Mr. Busby was born June 18, 1940, in St. Francis County, and was the son of DeWitt Busby and Rosa Mae Britton Busby. He was a lifelong citizen of the Palestine community and had lived in St. Francis County most all of his life, was in trucking and had retired from the St. Francis County Road Department, and had served in the Arkansas National Guard.
Mr. Busby is survived by two sons, Allen Wade Busby and Craig Busby, and wife, Paula, all of Palestine; two brothers, Ted Busby, and wife, Diane, of Wynne, and Johnny Busby of Colt; two sisters, Wanda Speer, and husband, Wayne, and Lady Gilmer, and husband, Harold, all of Colt; five grandsons, Randal Busby, Jon Busby, and wife, Amber, Jason Busby, and wife, Crystal, Michael Busby, and wife Jamie, and Tyler Busby, and wife, Courtney; one granddaughter, Jamie Nosler, and husband, Chris; and five great-grandchildren, Allie, Avley, Addy, Ella and David.
He had one son, Henry Curtis Busby; two sisters, Carolyn Dulaney and Shirley Hoots; and two brothers, Pat Busby and DeWitt Busby Jr., who all preceded him in death.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 29, 2018, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Stevens Funeral Home. Services for Mr. Busby will be held graveside, at 10 a.m., Friday, March 30, 2018, at the Bell Cemetery in Palestine.
