Wayne Davis Obituary
Wayne Davis, age 64, of Alma, passed away Monday, June 25, 2018, in Fort Smith.
He was born Aug. 3, 1953, in Forrest City. He was retired from Randall Ford. Wayne loved to tell stories and corny jokes. He also liked to play practical jokes and have them played on him. He loved the Razorbacks, golf, fishing and playing cards with his buddies. If he was whistling, it was a good day. He and Barb loved to adopt furbabies and received much love in return.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Davis, and a brother, Earl Davis.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years (which he enjoyed "almost" every minute of), Barbara Davis of the home; his mother, Flora Davis of Wynne; two sisters, Janie Brawner and husband Danny of Wynne, and Renee Ricker and husband Dan of Forrest City; a brother, David Davis and wife Julia of Forrest City; a sister-in-law, Penny Davis, of Forrest City and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 27, 2018, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, located at 4100 Alma Highway in Van Buren. A visitation will be held Thursday, June 28, 2018, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Stevens Funeral Home with Stevens Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements.
