THOMASTON – Mrs. Joyce Green King, age 73, of 118 Creekside Drive in Thomaston passed away on April 2, 2014 at the Brightmore Hospice in Griffin. The King family may be contacted at their residence. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 5, at 1 p.m. at the Mary Lizzie Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Fellowship Church Cemetery. Pastor McArthur Childs will be the Eulogist.
Mrs. King is survived by her husband, Harvey King, Jr. of Thomaston; four children: Melvin Green, Angela (Curtis) Perry, and Virginia (Timmy) Lyons, all of Thomaston, Horace Montgomery of Columbus, Ga.; seven grandchildren: Sherry Green, Eldred King, Kinberly Bunkley, Keundra Searcy, ZyKiera Brown, Curtis Perry, Jr., and Curtinia Perry; six great-grandchildren: Malik Green, India Asia Green, Braylen King, Elijah Bunkley, Quintavious Lyons and Kea'Nyah Searcy; sister, Susie Green; brother, Willie White of Thomaston, Ga.; aunt, Mattie Jackson of Madina, N.Y.; nieces and nephews: Diane Gray of Columbus, Ga; Willie Green of Thomasville, Ga., Jimmie Green of Kennesaw, Danny Seay and Ruth Seay of Thomasville, Ga., Casandra Dixon of Columbus, Ga.; a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her.
