Melvin Corley

THOMASTON - Mr. Melvin Alva Corley, age 56, died at his residence Friday, December 13, 2013.

Melvin was a veteran and served in the U. S. Army. He was a graduate of the Upson Technical College Air Condition Program and was the owner/operator of Corley Heating and Air. Mr. Corley was a member of Silvertown Baptist Church.

Melvin is survived by his wife, Sharron Corley; and daughter, Katrina Corley; Betty Harrison and the late Buck Harrison; Gail and Butch McDanie;, Clay, Michele, and Baleigh McDaniel; Leigh and Paul Devore & children; Linda, Ralph, Brad, and the late Laura Best; the late Billy D. Corley; Glynnis Fields; Joe Fields; Charlie Fields; Mary Ann Kelterborn; T.J. Fields; Lou Brown; Velma Montgomery; Roger Fields; the late Henry Fields; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday, at 2 p.m., December 16, 2013, in the Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Upson Memorial Gardens. Rev. Joe Allen and Rev. Garth Forster officiated. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Upson County Cancer Car Fund, c/o Carey Pitts, 300 Upson Avenue, Thomaston, GA 30286.
