Robert Anthony

THOMASTON – Mr. Robert Lee Anthony, age 87, of Yatesville, Ga., died January 6, 2014 at The Roosevelt Rehabilitation Center in Warm Springs, Ga.

Mr. Anthony was born on July 30, 1926 in Thomaston, Ga., to the late Henry and Susan Anthony. He worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator and also worked for Thomaston Mills in the Weave Shop for 20 years. Mr. Anthony served his country in the U. S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his daughter, Mrs. Linda (Rob) Harrell of Yatesville, Ga.; son, Mr. Jesse (Lisa) Anthony of Williamson, Ga.; brothers, Mr. Gary (Laverne) Anthony of Butler, Ga., Mr. Henry Edgar (Janice) Anthony of Warm Springs, Ga., Mr. Gene (Juanita) Anthony of Watkinsville, Ga.; sister, Mrs. Eloise Anthony of Barnesville, Ga.; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Coggins Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 from 5-7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery Fund at 7327 Ga. Highway 109, Molena, GA 30258.
