DACULA - Mrs. Sue Hardman Crawford, 80, of Dacula, died Monday, December 9, 2013 at Upson Regional Medical Center.
Graveside memorial services for Mrs. Crawford will be held on Friday, December 20, 2013 in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton at 11 a. m., with the Rev. Herb Flanders officiating.
Mrs. Crawford was born in Columbus, Ga., on August 28, 1933, daughter of the late James Gilbert Hardman and Nora Davis Hardman. The Hardmans moved to Thomaston in 1936 and she was a 1951 graduate of R. E. Lee Institute.
Mrs. Crawford and her husband, the late Jack Lamar Crawford, moved to Dacula in 1971. While there she worked for Gwinnett County Government, where she helped establish their Child Support Division and that she headed up until her retirement. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Chapman Tisdale.
Mrs. Crawford is survived by her daughter, Karen Sue Crawford of Dacula; two sons, Dr. Curtis Lamar (Becky) Crawford of Thomaston and Parke Smith (Stacy) Crawford of Suwanee; and four grandchildren, Nate Crawford and Matt Crawford, both of Thomaston, and Claudia Crawford and Aly Taylor, both of Suwanee.
