ZEBULON - Mrs. Eunice Pritchett Chapman, age 91, of Zebulon, passed away December 27, 2013, at her residence.

Mrs. Chapman was born on September 6, 1922, in Juliette, daughter of the late Rev. James Thomas Pritchett and the late Bessie Wilson Pritchett. She was a 1939 graduate of R.E. Lee Institute in Thomaston. She was an organizing member of Pritchett Memorial Baptist Church, which is named after her family. She was a charter member of Clarissa Pike OES #539. She loved selling peaches, blueberries, and pecans off her back porch. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Haygood Chapman; sons, Robert and Joseph W. Chapman; granddaughter, Stacy Lynn Chapman.

Survivors include her daughter, Joyce Smith of Thomaston; grandchildren, Layne and David Garrett of McKinney, Tex., Brad Chapman of Carrollton, Sabrina and Clint Sanders of Suwanee, Joey and Jennifer Smith of Buford, Codi Chapman of Zebulon, Kevin Chapman of Zebulon; great grandchildren, Ann, Kate, and Trace Garrett, Cole and Charly Sanders, Jaelyn and Jax Smith, Brooklyn Bostwick; sister in law, Lina Pritchett of Kennesaw; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services were held on Sunday, December 29, 2013, at 2 p.m., in the Meansville Congregational Cemetery. Rev. Joe Hassell officiated
