THOMASTON - Mr. Benjamin Leon Hood, 85, of Thomaston, died Saturday, June 7th, 2014 at Upson Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services for Mr. Hood will be held Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 11 a.m., in the Chapel of the Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home. Rev. Jason Weeks will officiate and burial will follow in Upson Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Hood was born in Carrollton, Georgia., on September 11, 1928, a son of the late William Taylor Hood and Cora Crumpton Hood. He served his country in the U. S. Army and moved to Thomaston in 1976. Until his retirement he was employed as a truck driver for Glidden Paint Company.

He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.

Mr. Hood is survived by his wife, Dorothy Jean Teal Hood; four sons, Benjamin Leon Hood, Jr., of Chesapeake, Virginia, Benjamin Taylor (Brenda Hallman) Hood of Griffin, Randolph Leon (Cathy) Hood of Williamson and James Gregory (Jennifer) Hood of Bremen; a sister, Jerri (Royce) Jordan of Duluth; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

The family of Mr. Hood will receive friends at Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home on Monday from 6 until 8 pm. Condolences and remembrances may be expressed at
