James T. "JT" Neale, a long-time resident of King William County, passed away Friday, November 8, 2013, at the age of 91. A well-known and respected banker in King William County, Mr. Neale worked in the banking industry for 45 years, starting his career with the Bank of Virginia in Richmond and later joining the Bank of West Point in King William County in 1972, where he retired in 1987. Mr. Neale was an active member of the Richmond Civitan Club and the King William Ruritan Club. After retirement JT and his beloved wife Dana made their home in Tappahannock.
Mr. Neale was preceded in death by his parents Mark Smith and Mary White Neale and brothers Dr. Mark Milton Neale Sr. and William Hoskins Neale. Mr. Neale is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Dana Davis Neale ; sister-in-law Laura Neale of Richmond VA; nieces Laura Vranian, Shirley Neale and Eleanor Robertson of Richmond; nephew Dr. Mark M. Neale Jr. of West Point; and nieces Mary Neale of Newport News; Betty Moore of Richmond; and Courtney Suber of Whitmire, SC.
Services and internment were held on November 11, 2013, at Jerusalem Christian Church in King William Co, where Mr. and Mrs. Neale were faithful members. Mr. Neale had been a member for 81 years and served as a church Elder and Trustee.
