Frances Anna Aldridge Was born in New Mexico on July 19, 1925 to Joseph and Durant (Suzy) Boeglin. She went home to be with the Lord on August 6, 2013 in Eureka, CA. Frances was a resident of the North Coast for over 50 years moving to Shelter Cove in the mid-sixties. She was in the real estate business for 22 years and sold many homes and a lot of property on the Lost Coast where she built her own dream house overlooking the Pacific Ocean and lived there until 2001. She will be remembered by many as the little old lady driving around the Cove, trekking up and down the terrain pounding in signs advertising her new listings. She was a member of the Shelter Cove Pioneers and was quite the historian for Shelter Cove and could tell a lot of stories about the Cove and people who lived and grew up there. She lived with her sister, Betty Boeglin, during most of her time in Shelter Cove and up to the day that "Aunt B" died in 2011. She lived in Fortuna for 12 years and had just recently moved into the Fortuna Wellness and Rehabilitation Center and will be greatly missed by her "family" there. Frances was a founding member of the First Church of Shelter Cove and was currently a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Eureka. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Ray Ash (Helen) of Eagle River, Alaska; Don Sisk (Dareena) of Garberville and Jennifer Culbert (Doug) of Fortuna. She is also survived by her sister, Ellie Hansmann of Spring, Texas and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Suzy, her husbands Ralph Ash, Miller Sisk and John Aldridge, sisters Gladys and Betty, and her daughter Francie. A memorial to celebrate Frances's life will be held Saturday, August 10th at 6:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 3400 F St., Eureka, CA. with Pastor Tom Culbert officiating. Food and a time for remembering Frances will follow immediately after the service. Arrangements are under the care of Goble's Fortuna Mortuary, Fortuna, CA. Dear Frances, I have only just learnt that you slipped away from us last year. I'm so sorry I did not see you before you left. I have such fond memories of working with you in the 1980's, and then in the 90's. You were always such a kind and generous soul, a special person. Take care up there. Stephen
