Obituaries from Two Days Ago

Wantt, Beverley Joan
Beverley Joan Wantt left this world to be with her love of her life Ralph Wantt on January 20, 2015, which was her last day here with us. She lived life the best way she knew how. She was born to the late Harvey Detrick and Emma Line Lee of Santa Rosa, Ca. on September 23, 1935. In 1965 she came to Alderpoint and met Ralph Wantt who had 2 children Albert and Audreena Wantt from a previous marriage and she helped raise them. To make ends meet she worked at the Alders which was a bar/motel/dinner establishment. Soon after that she worked at the Georgia Pacific mill cleaning the offices in the evenings. She loved fly fishing, gardening, crafting, bowling and golfing. She worked at Benbow Golf Course in the 1975's. Bev was a cook at the Eel River Caf‚ in the 1980's. Becoming a full time housewife was a real joy for her. She loved going to watch her grandkids play sports. She and Ralph were at every game cheering them on. A lot of times you could find them at the casino trying their luck. Anytime you would go to Bev and Ralph's home you were welcomed with a cup of coffee and fed if you were hungry. Visiting with her granddaughter Audrey Jean was a special treat in her life. Living family members are sons Albert & Cindy Wantt, John Nieman, daughter Audreena Wantt & Roger Hall, brothers Jerry & Leslie Detrick, sister Carol Goins, grandchildren Dustin & Bonnie Wantt, Wes Wantt & Vanessa Halley, Shylo Wantt & Audrey Jean Halland, and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are husband Ralph Wantt, brothers Lee & JR Detrick, sisters Joyce Mead & Barbara Laverne.
