Wynne, David Joseph
DAVID JOSEPH WYNNE 7/11/63 - 6/7/16 On June 7, 2016 at 7:45 p.m. David left this world for a new and better adventure. He passed at Hospice in Sutter Hospital in S.F. His mother Norma, sister Sherry, brother James and childhood friend Ian were all there to lovingly help him cross the bridge into majestic wanderlands. David was born in Oakland, Ca. and grew up in Fremont, Ca. He was the youngest child of John and Norma Wynne. He attended school in Fremont. David was a wanderer and worked wherever he went, including construction, hotel concierge, a glass plant. In Arizona, he worked in auto painting and at a moving company. In Fortuna, he worked at Sun Valley Lily. After settling in So. Humboldt, David worked in maintenance and as a cook at Brass Rail, Benbow Inn, Woodrose and others. He married once but had no children. He loved his dog Athena who was devoted to him as he passed. In David's travels he was always looking for new friends, and the love of his life. His smile and quirky ways drew people to him. He was generous and helpful to all he came in contact with. In the last five weeks of his life he developed slurred speech, uncoordinated movements and difficulty walking and talking caused by an invasive brain tumor. He will be missed by those he touched and now has a soft place to lay his head. He leaves behind his mother, sisters Janet Zuckerman (Dan), Sherry Hawks (Rick), brother James (Teri), brother-in-law Gary Munsell, stepmother Joyce Wynne and many nieces and nephews. There will be a Happy Get-together at Tooby Park on July 9th at 12:00 p.m. to remember our loved one. Bring a photo or memory to share. Food will be served. Please sign the guestbook at www.times-standard.com under obituaries.
