Alan Lloyd Johnson

Alan Lloyd Johnson Beloved son, brother and friend, went to be with the Lord on November 26, 2013, with family and friends by his side. Alan was born in Eureka on January 19, 1957 where he lived the majority of his life. He attended local schools, where he especially enjoyed woodworking, metal shop and drafting. Although Alan struggled most of his life with epilepsy and many other obstacles, he managed to take it all in stride. He made numerous friends throughout his adult life while attending special day programs, living in group homes and attending church, all of whom were a wonderful support for him through it all. It's difficult to see Alan taken from us so soon. We will greatly miss his smile, sense of humor and very unique perspective on life, expressed in his own special way. We take comfort in the knowledge that he is free from the earthly body that entangled him, and resting in the arms of his Savior, whom he spoke of often. He is preceded in death by his father, Alvin Johnson. Survived by mother, Lorene Johnson, sisters Deann Green and husband Jon, Anita Sessions and husband Mark, Lela Ben-Iesau and husband Raaman, nieces and nephews Steven Bray, Christa Fidler, Jillian Sessions, Hannah, Rebekah and Silas Ben-Iesau. The family would like to thank Chen Watts and her staff at Hall Avenue Care Home for their excellent, loving care, Eureka Senior Adult Day Health for providing a safe enjoyable environment, Rob Enge at Redwood Coast Regional Center for many years of support and friendship, and St. Joseph Hospital's doctors, nurses and staff (ICU and Med-Surge) for their hard work and kindness.
