She attended Fortuna High School, where she was popular and had many friends. She enjoyed hunting with her dad, camping and waterskiing with her family at Ruth Lake, and cooking like her mom. She loved telling stories about her fighting with her sisters over clothes and boys when they were teenagers. Deb enjoyed working at Rio Dell School when her boys were growing up. She was a second mom to many of their friends. She also worked at Richard Millers, where she met her soul mate, Rod Nordstrom. In 2002, she married the love of her life and enjoyed spending the last 10 years with him. Deb spent the last 12 years working for McCrea Nissan in Eureka.
