Marilyn Louise Wilson

MARILYN LOUISE (JAMES) WILSON Marilyn Wilson, a lifetime resident of Table Bluff Reservation in Humboldt County was born July 17th, 1952 to Albert E. and Beverly N. James in Eureka, CA. She left this world unexpectedly on June 3, 2013. Marilyn was very family oriented. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She and Grandpa Steve would often take them to see the latest movies or shop the local yard sales. Marilyn worked as the Library Director for the Wiyot Tribe. She loved books; reading, protecting and archiving. She attended a summer long course at Cornell University in addition to numerous workshops and trainings to protect tribal documents and artifacts. Marilyn was a loving wife to Steve Wilson. They enjoyed a full life traveling together, going on dinner and movie dates and many other outings. She couldn't wait to be retired so they could do more. Marilyn is survived by her husband Steve Wilson; her parents, Albert E. and Beverly N. James; her brothers, Albert I. James and Jerry (Renee) James; her daughter Gail (Rich) Green; her son Vincent DiMarzo; her bonus children Jackie (Jason) Braden, Patricia Wilson, Desirae Wilson, Kadee Wilson; grandchildren: Richie, Corinne, Allie, Matt, Brandon, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Alana, Mariena, Ella, Brianna, and Alicia; as well as her in-laws, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Lois, niece Stephanie and bonus daughter Kristen as well as numerous aunts and uncles. The family is complying with Marilyn's wishes for cremation so there will be a potluck gathering for family and friends to share laughter and tears on June 8th at 2 p.m. at the Humboldt Grange, 5845 Humboldt Hill Rd, South Eureka.
