Dear Gloria,
At this time of sorrow, know that God is very near to you in your pain. We feel we are alone in our grief, but none of us is alone. Our Lord has promised that he is close to the broken-hearted, and those who are crushed in spirit. He saves.
Jesus is the Savior, the Resurrection and the life. He knows each of us by name, and has prepared a place for us in the Father’s House. Let us entrust those we love and whom he has called to him. To his memory…God bless you
Father Gary Sumpter.

"Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, so loved, so missed, so very dear."

Grandpa, I am thankful for the time I had with you and will keep you alive in memory and in my heart...I can only hope that one day we will see each other again...I Love you...

2day i ate fish i thought of u . . and how u would load the truck and take my sister and i with u to fish. 3 poles ur tackle box ur pocket knife and a 6 pack of pepsi. we would fish all day long. jumping from one rock to another hoping that today we would catch a fish. How my grandpa was so quiet&patient, casting out and reeling in his line all day. that is one of many fond memories i have w my grandpa. I miss hearing him say "hello my little chickadee". Dear Gloria, I want to extend my sympathies to you and your entire family over Antonio's passing. I shall miss Antonio's smile, wit and good nature. But as "Believers" we know that he is in a much better place.
In Antonio passing, I have lost a very dear friend. He and Gloria as well as Johnnie and Mary Avila have been my "life preservers" since John's passing...their friendship and careing helped keep me "afloat". I hope I can to do the same for you, Gloria.
I know, in my heart, that Lenny, John, Dale, Art, and Bob were right there to welcome Antonio and to get a softball game going. I hope there won't be any "trouble" over who is playing 1st base.
What better tribute can you pay a man than to say he was truly a good man and a treasured friend?
Hasta la proxima vez. Vaya con Dios!, Antonio.
Gloria and family may God bless and comfort you. And may your many happy memories of Antonio help you to smile again.

Antonio, your humor was present from the day I met you. Thank you for the memories you shared with me on our walk in Rio Del. You are a man of upmost integrity. The respect your friends and neighbors have for you speaks highly for the the type of person you are. The Giants World Series victory was for you, I am glad you waited for it.

I will always cherish being with you when your Giants won the world series. I have fond memories of you Fishing and playing Softball with your friends. They thought that you were Willie Mays because you had all your fans watching you play. I will never forget you and mom cheering me on at my softball games and Yell "come on baby, hit the ball" even though I was already 40 something! I am grateful that you walked me down the isle at our wedding and I will keep these special memories in my heart. Dad, although your body is gone, your spirit lies in each one of your children who love you and will always miss you. Be at Peace and I know that you and Tonio are watching over us. Love, Katherine

Gloria, our hearts go out to you and your children at this time. Antonio was a real competitor when it came to softball. I always enjoyed having Antonio as a team mate, he brought real class to the team. I know the members of the Moose will miss his presence. Look out God, here comes Antonio!!!!!! We have lost a wonderful friend that we may have only known for 11 years, but you & Gloria & John & Minerva & us, were always going to dinner, watching the annual Kinetic races, watching parades, & eating wonderful meals made by Gloria. But the most important were the 11 years of playing Sr. softball twice a week for 6 months out of the year & on travel games to Oregon. You being the best first baseman ever for the Moose team I managed, clear up to your 80th Birthday, just a few months ago. You even painted your house this year. We will miss you so much Antonio, but you will always be in our hearts forever. All the Sr. softball players that have gone to heaven will great you for that big game.
Our sypathy goes out to all your family.
Love, Johnnie & Mary
