Barbara Morris

1948-2010 On November 30, 2010 Barbara Sharon Morgan Morris was surrounded by her family when she said goodbye to us and took God's hand and follwed him home. She grew up in Eureka, Ca where she met and married her high school sweetheart David Morris, the love of her life. During their forty-five years together they had five wonderful children: Chalynne Bruckner (Marcus Bruckner), Shawndra Cooper (Tony Cooper), Jennifer Bachier (Billy Bachler), Matthew Morris (Andrea Morris), and Faith Morris. Their children blessed them with ten grand children and one great grandson which were Barbara's pride and joy. Barbara loved to travel with her family. One of her fvorite places to go was Turks and Caicos which she had a chance to share with her sister. This trip remains a cherished memory that they both hold close to their hearts. She also loved to snorkel and bowl and was a proud member of the 300 club. She was an advocate for children that were both physically and emotionally abused. For the last 20 years of her life she was active in the Special Olympics, making sure that everyone knew how special the athletes that she cared for and trained really were. There are too many of her joys and accomplishments to mention them all. She was giving and caring and no one can ever fill her shoes. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her. She is survivied by her mother Juanita Morgan, her brothers Walter "Ike" Morgan and Frank Morgan and her little sister Karen "Pokey" Thomas. She was met in heavem by her father Winnard Morgan and brother Ronnie Morgan. The family would like to extend their thanks to all who helped them through these troubled times.
