Charlene Ann (Stephenson) Brundin

Obituary Condolences

Charlene Ann (Stephenson) Brundin was born on February 13, 1943 and passed away on January 18, 2013 after a long battle with cancer. She was a loving and caring mother and friend. She is now with Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert G Stephenson, her mother Francis Read Stephenson, and beloved sister Karen Webb. She is survived by her daughters: Charise A. Shackelford and Audrey Z. Baldosser. Son in Law: David Baldosser. Grandsons: Gabriel and Michael Shackelford and Jace and Nathan Baldosser. Sister and brother in law: Penny and Jerry Greer. Nephews and nieces: Neil, Jon, Sharon Greer, Teresa James, Chester and Robert Webb, Marie Medina, and many great nieces and nephews. There are so many friends and family members to mention that it would be impossible to include them all here. Please know that we appreciate and love you all. We thank you for the time, food and prayers that were sent. Charlene drove school bus for Jacoby Creek School and Blue Lake School for many years. She then decided to become a cosmetologist. She started working at a salon near Westwood Market in Arcata before moving to Valley West Hair Care. She worked there for close to 30 years. She enjoyed all of her customers and would go to their homes to do their hair if needed. She sometimes would go to the hospital to lift someone's spirits and wash their hair too. Charlene placed her faith in Jesus Christ and wanted to fulfill the Great Commission Matthew 28:18-20. She went on numerous mission trips to India & Peru. She got to make a dream come true when she went to the Holy Land of Jerusalem with her grandson Nathan. Charlene decide to have some fun and went sky diving and paragliding with her grandson, Jace. She also went on a cruise to Alaska in recent years. She wanted to go bungee jumping but had recently had surgery and was unable to participate but she was there to cheer Jace on. She enjoyed spending time with her grandsons. Services will be held at Blue Lake Community Church at the corner of Wahl and B Streets on Saturday January 26th at 3:00pm. Family and friends invited.
